Design Portfolio (Pre-BlackBox)

Shortly after my mid-career break to earn a Masters degree in computational design, I joined SOM in the capacity of founder and director of the BlackBox studio, which was largely a managerial role. However, prior to the educational sabbatical, my career had a more conventional design leadership focus, most recently as the design director for an architecture and urban planning practice (MCA Architecture) in Greenville, South Carolina.

The following galleries represent a sampling of some of the design work that I led professionally (before focusing on a more computational design direction), as well as a series of residential studies I have been generating over recent years out of a personal need to scratch my design itch.
